Yandere Freak is a TikTok cosplayer charged with murder in Texas. The real name of the social media star is Mary Anne Oliver-Snow, and they are also known as ‘Snow’ and “SnowtheSaltQueen”.
As per the Harris County court records, Oliver-Snow is charged with shooting a friend in Houston while drinking.

TikTok Cosplayer Charged With Manslaughter
Mary Anne Oliver-Snow, aka Yandere Freak, Snow and SnowtheSaltQueen, was shot dead in Hastings while they were drinking at their Houston home, as per the criminal complaint from Harris County MP Margarita Nolan, a murder investigator for the county sheriff. on 17th January 2021, approx. 1:30 a.m.
Hastings was transferred to Northwestern Houston Hospital, where she later died.
As per the report, there were six witnesses in the home at the time of the shooting. Oliver-Snow issued a statement to investigators and was taken into custody for questioning after the shooting.
Oliver-Snow has been on bail since his arrest for probable negligent homicide on 18th January 2021. They were charged with second-degree manslaughter by a Harris County grand jury in April 2021 and were released on bail.
Under Texas law, negligent second degree manslaughter charges come with a possible prison term of 2 to 20 years. The prosecution accuses Oliver-Snow of ‘ruthlessly’ causing Hastings death by “pointing a gun at Hastings” and “pulling the trigger”.

As per the Oberlin Review, the victim, Helen Hastings, was a freshman at Oberlin College in Ohio. The student newspaper wrote: “Hastings was known among friends for their laughter, enthusiasm and compassion. Hastings wanted to help treat misophonia, a disease that bothers people with certain sounds, and he intended to study neuroscience, psychology, and the arts.”
Hastings was originally from Houston, Texas, according to his Facebook page. She graduated from Houston Awty International School before dating Oberlin, she said on Facebook.
The Oberlin Review added that he is survived by his parents, Susan and Phillip, and four siblings. The article does not mention the cause of death. The Hastings family did not speak publicly about the charges against Oliver-Snow.
What Was The Trial?
As per the court records, on 3rd August 2021, prosecutors requested that Oliver-Snow’s bail be waived, accusing her of violating the terms of his release. Oliver-Snow was charged in a bail bond report for failing to show up for pre-trial proceedings as instructed, failing to comply with curfews, and failing to comply with the rules of the electronic surveillance program.

Oliver-Snow was charged with four curfew violations in July 2021, three times empty GPS battery in July 2021, and seven times more than four hours with GPS without cellular service in July 2021. Oliver-Snow appeared in court, but was allowed to stay on bail pending trial.
Oliver-Snow’s next hearing is on 21st October 2021 before Judge Chris Morton dated 230. The hearing is scheduled for an exchange of evidence. No trial date has been set for the case.
