Winter Vacations Extended For Colleges And Schools in Punjab
The Punjab government has extended winter holidays at public and private schools and universities due to a sudden temperature drop in the province.
According to the Department of School Education (SED), the winter holidays in Punjab’s public and private schools have been extended from January 2 to January 8. Academic activities in schools will resume on January 9th.
On December 15, the SED informed the schools of the winter break from December 24 to 31. Schools were due to reopen on January 2nd.
According to the Ministry of Higher Education (HED), the winter holidays in Punjab’s public and private universities have been extended from Jan. 2-8. Universities will reopen on January 9th.
The HED notice added that exams at public and private universities will be conducted according to the schedule initially communicated by the boards and universities.
On December 22nd, the HED announced the winter holidays at the universities from December 24th to 31st. The academic process would resume on January 2nd.
