Why is Prince Harry suing Associated Newspapers?
Prince Harry is suing Associated Newspapers, one of Britain’s largest newspaper publishers, months after his wife successfully won a lawsuit against her for printing excerpts from a letter he wrote to her father, according to his spokesman.
Harry’s rep gave no details on which titles are being sued or why.
Associated Newspapers, publishers of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday, declined to comment.
According to PM Media, “The allegation follows an article published by The Mail on Sunday 20 February reporting security concerns under the headline ‘Revealed: How Harry tried to keep his fight against bodyguards legal’.

Finding Freedom writer Omid Scobie said: “The news follows the Mail on Sunday, which recently published several articles about Harry’s ongoing efforts to fund police protection while he was in the UK.
He added: “In January 2021, the Duke settled a defamation lawsuit against the same newspaper over false stories about his relationship with the armed forces.”
No further details of Harry’s defamation lawsuit will be released until the documents filed with the UK High Court are made public.
