WhatsApp Will Stop Working On Some Android Phones Starting Next Month; Check If Yours Is One Of These
Whatsapp will no longer support some Android phones from November 1st. Because of this, these users will lose all chats and contacts if they don’t save their chat history before the update.
Whatsapp has suggested its users use older versions of Android to switch to compatible versions as soon as possible. The company; however, is compatible with all other devices running Android 4.1 and later, as well as iOS and KaiOS.
Versions 4.0.4 and earlier will no longer be compatible with the messaging app as of Monday, WhatsApp announced.
This is how you can check whether your phone is compatible with WhatsApp or not.

All Android users are recommended to visit settings and then go to About phone. Now scroll down to see which version of Android your phone is running on. If it says version 4.0.4 or earlier, it’s time to save and export your chat history and switch to a working phone using WhatsApp.
Back up your chat by going to Settings, then Chats. Now go to “Chat Backup” and back up all your chat data.
