WhatsApp Increases The Time It Takes For Messages To Disappear
In November 2020, WhatsApp introduced the Message Disappearance feature, which automatically deletes chats after 24 hours or 7 days. WhatsApp has now updated the auto-delete feature so that users can set a duration of 90 days.
With the new update, WhatsApp users can turn on the message disappearing feature by default for all new one-on-one chats.
WhatsApp allows you to start new chats with messages that are disappearing. Each of the users can activate or deactivate the disappearance of messages for individual chats.
In group chats, however, anyone in the group can switch to disappearing messages.
After enabling the default messages to disappear, the application notifies other users as well.
