Defending champions Karachi Kings will go all-in when they face former champions Quetta Gladiators in the 29th game of the 6th Pakistan Super League at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi today.
Quetta has nothing to lose in this game as the team led by Sarfaraz has already been eliminated from the PSL playoff race, but they will be looking for a consolation win to end the tournament on a high note. For the Karachi Kings, a victory means confirmation of a place in the play-offs of the PSL 2021.
A defeat would knock out the Kings and bring the Qalandars of Lahore into the play-offs.
The Gladiators have not had a very good season and are already losing their key foreign players for the game in Abu Dhabi as Faf du Plessis returned home with an injury and Andre Russel left them for his national duty.
The game between the two teams is expected to start at 6 p.m. Pakistan’s different leading sports broadcasters have acquired the live broadcast rights to the sixth edition of PSL.
