President Luis Abinader arrived tonight after attending the inauguration of his Ecuadorian counterpart Guillermo Lasso.
The plane in which the head of state returned took off at 5:00 p.m. (Dominican time) from Mariscal Sucre Airport in Quito and landed at San Isidro Air Base at 8:01 a.m. Thirteen minutes later, Abinader stepped off the plane and was met by Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, and Defense Minister, Major General Rafael Luciano Díaz Morfa.

Agenda in Ecuador
Last night while he was in the South American nation, Abinader attended a dinner offered by then-President Lenin Moreno to the dignitaries who attended his successor’s investiture.
This Monday he was present at a lunch that the new ruler of Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso, gave to all the leaders and official delegations who attended the transmission of the command ceremony.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the new President of Ecuador, President Abinader and the delegation that attended the United States held a bilateral meeting at which both parties discussed issues related to corruption, the coronavirus, among other things.
At this meeting, both parties emphasized traditional friendship ties and their decision to further strengthen their relationships.
