Starting February 13, Indian passport holders living in or visiting six additional countries can now get a UAE visa-on-arrival. The updated program now includes those with valid visas, residency permits, or Green Cards from Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. This adds to existing options for travelers with documents from the US, UK, or EU nations.
Eligibility Criteria for UAE Visa-On-Arrival
If you’re an Indian citizen with a valid visa or residency permit from any of the six newly added countries, you’re eligible. Just make sure your passport has at least six months of validity and be ready to cover the visa fees.
Cost Breakdown
- A 14-day stay costs Dh100.
- Extend your trip by another 14 days for Dh250.
- Prefer a longer visit? A 60-day visa is also Dh250.

Why the Change?
UAE officials say this move strengthens ties with India and makes travel easier for Indian citizens and their families. It’s also about showcasing the UAE’s tourism spots, business opportunities, and drawing skilled professionals and entrepreneurs. The objective? To keep the UAE front and center as a go-to destination for work, travel, and investment.
Bonus for Diplomats
Separately, India and the UAE have a deal allowing diplomatic and official passport holders to stay visa-free for up to 90 days.
Whether you’re planning a quick getaway or exploring longer-term options, the UAE’s latest visa updates will simplify the process for Indian travelers. Time to pack those bags!
