UAE Launch Special Initiative For Underachieving Students
The Emirates Establishment of Schools (ESE) in the United Arab Emirates has announced an initiative to support public school students in grades 3-12 who have not done well academically or who have failed the class by taking the exams in the first have passed quarter.
Regarding the initiative, ESE Director General Mohammed Al Qasim said that the student empowerment and support program will give these students a second chance to succeed in the first semester.
The program will be launched from January 23rd to February 3rd, and in the first and second phases, students with less than 50% of the grades can participate, while in the third phase, the program is open to students with less than 60%.
Al Qasim further noted that the first quarter results help them identify student performance so they can provide them with the support needed to improve their academic performance.
ESE released results for public and private school grades 9-12 on January 9, while results for grades 5-12 and 1-4 were released on January 10 and 11, respectively.
