UAE Issued An Important News For Govt Employees
Federal employees in the United Arab Emirates will receive their monthly salaries on April 17, according to the instructions of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and Ruler of Dubai.
This decision is a common practice in the country aimed at helping families with their shopping and preparing for the Eid celebrations. Similarly, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, also issued guidelines for government employees in Dubai to receive their salaries on April 17.
The first long weekend of 2023 will be marked by Eid Al Fitr, celebrated after the end of the holy month of Ramadan, the 1st of Shawwal. This holiday is scheduled from Thursday, April 20th to Sunday, April 23rd.
On Thursday, March 23rd, the holy month of Ramadan began in the United Arab Emirates. The length of the Islamic months varies between 29 and 30 days depending on the sighting of the moon. For this year, astronomical calculations predict that Ramadan will last 29 days.
Free Car Parking For Locals in Dubai
The Dubai Highways and Transport Authority (RTA) recently launched a new service for Emiratis, allowing them to park near their homes for free. All paid public parking spaces located less than 500 meters from a citizen’s residence are covered by this regulation.
To register for this service, citizens can apply online through the RTA website by submitting copies of certain documents including a passport or Emirates ID card, and proof of home ownership, such as ownership of the property. Vehicles such as Mulkiya on behalf of the homeowner, tenant, or first-degree relative.
The number of free parking permits issued depends on the size of the apartment. For example, those staying in a one-bedroom apartment or a studio are entitled to two permits, while those staying in a two-bedroom hallway apartment are entitled to three permits. Likewise, houses with three rooms and a living room are allotted four permits.
