UAE Issued A New Launch Date For The Six-Month SpaceX-NASA Mission
The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center (MBRSC) has announced a new launch plan for the upcoming 6-month space mission that will involve famed UAE astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi.
The MBRSC tweeted that the first long-term Arab astronaut mission will launch on 27th February at 10:45 am. (UAE time).

Sultan, the mission’s lead astronaut, will join Hazzaa Al Mansoori as a backup crew. Sultan and his team will be in space during Ramadan.
The announcement of the new release date was met with enthusiasm for this innovative mission. A Saudi team of male and female astronauts will also accompany Sultan on the International Space Station (ISS) this year.
Sultan said the Arab region is eager to learn more and as ambassadors, they hoped to return with the knowledge to share with the rest of the world.
Mission Details
The mission is being carried out jointly by NASA and SpaceX. The spacecraft, named Endeavor, will lift off from Kennedy Launch Complex 39A in Florida on the above date.
Officials from NASA, SpaceX, and international partners conducted the mission’s Flight Readiness Review (FRR) to ensure the space station, its international partners, and the crew of the SpaceX spacecraft transport system is flight-ready.
The 6-month mission includes scientific experiments and research on the ISS. Sultan, a representative of the MBRSC, will make his first trip into space.
