UAE is Among The Most Trusted Countries in The World
The Edelman Trust Barometer 2023, an annual trust and credibility survey, recognized the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as one of the most trusted and united countries in the world.
The study examined the trust of more than 30,000 people in 28 countries in government, business, NGOs and the media. Despite divisive global issues, the UAE has maintained high levels of trust in all four institutions.
According to the report, the UAE ranked third as the most trusted country in the world, with the government being the most trusted institution at 86%, followed by corporations at 78%.
According to the report, high levels of trust stem from public confidence in the competence and ethics of government, business and NGOs.
Similarly, the United Arab Emirates also leads in terms of economic optimism: 72% of people believe they will benefit financially in the next five years.
In contrast, only 40% of respondents worldwide share this belief. Societal divisions and collapses occurred in many other countries due to systematic inequality, the lack of a common identity and dwindling social cohesion.
The survey, conducted from November 1-28 last year, included 30-minute interviews with participants.
