UAE Imposes Sanctions on Hundreds Of Companies For Target Manipulation in The Emirates
According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE), more than 440 private companies have violated Emiratization rules since the second half of 2022.
Of these, 436 companies were fined for falsely claiming they were following Emirates guidelines, while five companies were found to have manipulated their targets.
It is important to note here that MoHRE takes violations seriously and imposes fines and administrative sanctions on companies that break the law.
The financial benefits of UAE nationals proven to have been recruited through fake Emiratization practices have also been cut.
As reported by the Khaleej Times, to prevent violations, infringing companies are downgraded to the lowest category in the Ministry of Private Enterprises rating system, which provides for higher fees for MoHRE services.
In serious cases, violating companies are referred to the public prosecutor’s office for legal action. In addition, UAE citizens who have been misidentified will have their work permits revoked and the companies concerned will have to pay the financial contributions stipulated in the Emiratization Guidelines.
The ministry urged UAE citizens not to take bogus jobs in Emiratization as Nafis’ financial support aims to put them into real jobs and contribute to the development of UAE in various sectors.
If anyone finds violations related to Emiratization, the ministry recommends reporting them through the call center 600590000 or the ministry’s app.
