UAE Govt Announced Eid Al-Adha Holidays For Private Sector

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE), the UAE’s labor market regulator, has announced the Eid Al-Adha holiday for the private sector from Tuesday 27th June to Friday 30th June.

The public holiday is followed by a weekend, giving UAE residents a six-day break to celebrate the occasion. Worship will resume on Monday, July 3.

The decision is in line with the UAE Cabinet’s decision on authorized public and private sector holidays.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia officially announced the dates for Eid Al-Adha 2023 after seeing the Dhul Al-Hijjah crescent moon on June 18.

According to the official announcement, Arafat Day will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 27th, followed by Eid Al-Adha on Wednesday, June 28th.

As for Pakistan, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), also known as the Met Office, predicted the birth of the moon at 9:37 p.m. on June 18. m., and the moon was seen on June 19.

The Ruet-e-Hilal Central Committee, the authority responsible for moon sightings, will hold a moon sighting meeting at the Karachi Meteorological Bureau today. The Committee Chair, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, will chair the session.
