UAE Announced The Taleem Guide To Major Changes in Education
UAE Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology and Chair of the Emirates Establishment of Schools (ESE), Sarah bint Yousif Al Amiri, announced the establishment of Taleem Councils to increase the engagement of education professionals in the education sector.
Sarah chaired the first meeting of the council, which currently has 35 members, including principals and teachers. A total of 3 councils were formed: the School Leadership Council with 14 members, the Teachers Council with a further 14 members, and the Young Teachers Council with 7 members.
According to the minister, the effort will help education professionals develop education plans and regulations to improve the country’s public education system and overall global competitiveness.
The minister described teachers as a key pillar of the education sector, saying that the education field is full of innovative teaching models and unique learning perspectives.
He added that the Taaleem councils bring these ideas together and help ensure that the experiences of these role models are used to meet the needs and priorities of the education system.
