UAE And Saudi Arabia Are Becoming The Safest Countries For Women Traveling Alone
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia have consistently shown excellent performances in terms of governance, tourism, economy, and investment. Both countries recently achieved a new milestone by being named the safest travel destinations for solo female travelers.
Women traveling alone place great importance on their personal safety and gender equality when deciding on a travel destination. In this sense, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia have excelled in meeting these expectations and offering exemplary levels of safety and gender equality.
One of the leading online travel insurance comparison platforms, InsureMyTrip, ranked 65 cities on cost, safety, gender equality, and tourism.
It declared the Saudi city of Medina the safest travel destination in the world, scoring 9.29 out of 10 for overall safety and 9.3 out of 10 for “lack of concern about sexual assault.” They also received an 82.75 for feeling safe walking alone at night.
Dubai tops the list of safest cities in the world for female solo travelers, scoring 10 out of 10 for “feel safe walking alone at night”. It received a score of 8.95 in overall safety.
