UAE And Canada Will Massively Increase Flights With A New Agreement
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Canada have reached an agreement to increase the number of flights between the two countries. This will help meet the growing demand and boost tourist and commercial activities.
The number of flights will be increased by 50% to a total of 21 flights per week. It will also enhance global connectivity between the two nations.
Omar Alghabra, Canada’s Minister of Transport, announced the final agreement. He acknowledged that the UAE is Canada’s largest aviation market in the Middle East.
Canada’s original aviation agreement with the United Arab Emirates was established in 1999, expanded in 2018, and further enhanced in April 2023.
According to Omar, enlargement will improve Canada’s international connectivity, boost trade and people-to-people ties, and create jobs for Canadians.
Meanwhile, Mary Ng, Canada’s Minister for International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business, and Economic Development, stressed the long-standing relationship between the two nations.
Following the deal, Emirates announced on Friday that it will offer daily flights from Dubai to Toronto from April 20. According to the announcement, the airline will add two additional weekly flights to meet growing demand on this route.
