Travis Scott criticized in court by families of Astroworld victims for charity initiative
Families of Travis Scott’s Astroworld victims have called out the star’s new charity initiative.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, allegations by the victims’ families that Project HEAL’s promotions were “designed to win goodwill” and affect the “victims’ ability to receive a fair trial in this case.”
With that in mind, they also called for a gag order to be enacted to ensure a “level playing field” is created.
However, Scott’s lead attorney, Daniel Petrocelli, also released a statement, saying, “Instead of praising Mr. Scott’s continued commitment to charitable causes in Houston, one of the attorneys representing Mr. Blount decided to publicly discredit him.”
“Plaintiffs’ request … is a transparent and annoying attempt to prevent parties like Mr. Scott from exercising their constitutional rights.”
