Traffic Plans For Downtown Dubai Announced For New Year’s Evening
The United Arab Emirates (UAE), especially Dubai which is a major tourist destination, celebrates the New Year with numerous events including fireworks, drone shows, concerts, and other family-friendly activities.
In light of the above celebrations and the size of the crowd that will be attending the events, the Dubai authorities have announced the New Year’s Eve traffic plan for Emiratis and visitors.
Below is The Traffic Schedule For New Year 2023 in Dubai:
- Burj Khalifa Street, Al Mustaqbal Street, and Financial Center Street (lower deck) will be closed to all cars from 4 pm on Saturday, 31.12.
- Al Sukook Street will be closed at 20:00. m. and Financial Center Street (Upper Deck) close at 21:00. m.
- Also, the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall subway station will be closed at 5 pm. The authorities will close it before 17:00 if the number of passengers exceeds the normal limit.
- During New Year’s Eve, the Dubai Water Canal elevators and pedestrian bridges in Jumeirah, Al Safa, and Business Bay will remain closed.
- Subway passengers are encouraged to use the nearby stations, either in Business Bay or the Financial Center.
- The Red and Green lines of the Dubai Metro will operate from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday until 00:00 m. on Monday, January 2, 2023.
- The Dubai Tram operates from 6 am to 5 pm. Saturday until 1:00 m. from Monday.
- Alternative parking is available at the Al Wasl Club and Al Jafiliya car parks of the General Directorate of Residence and Immigration.
- Parking on Al Khail Road and Sheikh Zayed Road is prohibited in both directions.

How To Get To The Burj Khalifa To Party?
The public will be able to access the Burj Khalifa area through three different routes. One lane departs from Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro Station, another from Financial Center Metro Station, and a third from Business Bay.
In addition, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) offers travelers a bus service to the Burj Khalifa area to see the fireworks.
