TikTok is back in the US after a brief ban, but it’s still unavailable on Google and Apple’s app stores due to an executive order from former President Biden. Apple confirmed that apps from ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, can’t be listed on the App Store.
From January 19, 2025, ByteDance apps, including TikTok, CapCut, and Lemon8, will no longer be available for download or updates in the US. Despite Trump’s executive order giving TikTok a temporary reprieve, federal law remains unchanged, leaving TikTok’s US future uncertain.
