The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Will Meet On 22nd March For Ramazan Moon Sighting 2023

The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee (RHC) will meet on March 22 to target the new crescent of the holy month of Ramazn, according to the Secretary for Religious Affairs.

Dr. Aftab Akbar Durrani, secretary for religious affairs, expressed optimism on Sunday that the new crescent will be launched by agreement with all parties for the holy month of Ramazan.

According to the state news agency, he claimed there was a legitimate system for moon sightings, including the Ruet-e-Hilal Central Committee (RHC), which had always involved the provinces in the discussion.

According to Minister Durrani, the committee performed its duties professionally and treated no one disrespectfully.

According to official sources, the committee was scheduled to meet in Peshawar on 22nd March to witness the start of the holy month of Ramazan.

Religious scholars, SPARCO, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony will have representatives on the committee, they said.

They claimed that after hearing witnesses across the country, the final statement about the moon sighting would be released.

On 22nd March (29 Sha’ban 1444 AH) the PMD had previously predicted the likelihood of a Ramazan moon sighting.

He said that on March 21 at 22-23 PST the Ramazan new moon 1444 AH should be born at the crossover conjunction point. On March 22, most of the country will experience clear to partly cloudy weather, according to the national PMD weather forecast.

It should also be noted that the interim government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ordered the withdrawal of a tender after strong public criticism.
