The Queen urged Barack Obama to leave the state dinner for THIS reason
The Queen makes no exceptions to her sleep schedule, even for the most important guests, including the Obama family.
Apparently, the Queen wanted to hold a state banquet with then-President Barack Obama and then-First Lady Michelle Obama because she wanted to hit the snooze button.
Former British Foreign Secretary George Osborne has been given the daunting task of giving orders to one of the most powerful and influential people in the world.
She wrote in her book Queen Of Our Times: The Life Of Elizabeth II how Barack enjoyed himself at the banquet, but his enjoyment had to be interrupted: “Obama had been so amused that the Queen had parted ways with her Chancellor for good.” to ask him if he could very discreetly tell the American President that it’s time to go to bed.

“I just said, ‘Yes, ma’am,'” George Osborne recalled. “I could see Obama with a drink in hand and I was like, what am I doing?” I couldn’t just interrupt and say, “Oh, the Queen wants you to go to bed.”
“Luckily he was saved by the Queen’s private secretary, who kindly ended the proceedings.”
