The Federal Govt Lowers The Price Of Petrol By 5 Rupees Per Liter
The federal government has decided to reduce the price of petrol by Rs 5 per liter while the price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) remains the same.
The decision was announced by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar at a press conference.
Petroleum Products Prices:
March 1 to 15 , 2023:High Speed Diesel- with No change Rs 280 per litre
MS Petrol —with Rs 5 reduction,Rs 267 per litre
Kerosene Oil – with Rs 15 reduction, Rs 187.73 per litre
Light Diesel Oil -with Rs 12 reduction, Rs 184.68 per litre

The new petrol price is Rs. 267 per liter while the HSD price remains at Rs. 280 per liter.
The government has also announced a reduction in the price of kerosene by 15 rupees per liter and the new price will be 187.73 rupees per liter. Likewise, the price of light diesel fuel has been reduced by Rs. 12 per liter and the new price is now Rs. 184.68 per liter.
During the last bi-monthly review, the government significantly hiked petroleum product prices, pushing gasoline and diesel prices to all-time highs.
The government attributed the rise, which pushed up the price of petrol by Rs 22.20 per liter and the price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs 17.20 per liter, to the devaluation of the Pakistani rupee. The government had also increased prices for kerosene and light diesel.
