Thanks To New Technologies, Mobile Internet Speed Will Be Three Times Faster in The UAE
Du, a leading telecom operator in the United Arab Emirates, recently announced plans to triple the speed of its mobile internet. The company will achieve this using an advanced method known as multi-carrier aggregation.
Put simply, merging multiple modes of transport can be compared to merging lanes on a highway, allowing for faster and smoother traffic flow.
Specifically, you will bundle three disks to drastically increase the speed. This technological breakthrough is primarily aimed at wireless home services, a segment that Du successfully launched in the UAE market in 2021.
The improved speeds will support advanced technologies that require high bandwidth and low latency, such as artificial intelligence (AI), 8K video streaming, Metaverse, and ultra-high-definition cloud gaming.
Du’s CTO Saleem Al Blooshi reiterated the company’s commitment to providing the best possible user experience. He said that Du is always striving to anticipate and meet the changing connectivity needs of consumers in the UAE.
It should be noted that Du was the first to bring 4G and 5G home wireless services to the UAE. With this latest development, the company is well-positioned to offer advanced 5G services suitable for the above purposes.
