Taylor Knight Tortured A Child And Jailed For 3 Years
Knight, who ‘tortured’ a 17-year-old boy in a horrific homophobic attack, was jailed after accusing his behavior of “his own suppressed sexuality”.
In March of that year, he enlisted the help of three friends to beat, strangle and set the victim on fire at his apartment in Kings Heath, Birmingham.
He was assisted by two teenagers, one of whom threw boiling water at the victim and an unknown man named ‘Ace’ who repeatedly kicked the teenager in the face.
Heartbreaking cell phone footage was shown on the floor of the victim’s Birmingham Crown Court as the victim was beaten and kicked as the group repeatedly called him “p ****”.
The victim, whose phone was also stolen, suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and issued a statement to the court saying that it was ‘broken’ as a result of the ordeal.
What Was The Trial?
Knight, who appeared on a link from HMP Brinsford in Staffordshire, turned when footage of the attack was aired in court.
He admitted suffering assault, theft, and kidnapping of children and was imprisoned for three years and eight months on September 3rd.
Judge Heidi Kubik QC said she was lucky that the Crown prosecutor’s office ‘framed’ the case and admitted that her criminal powers were limited.
The 15-year-old was sentenced to a reintegration order for robbery and bodily harm with actual bodily harm.
No action was taken against the second woman, while ‘Ace’ was never identified.
The court learned how Knight was related to the victim and that the couple communicated regularly via text messages.
But on March 13, things got worse when they were in the company of Knight’s friend ‘Ace’, who made homophobic remarks towards the 17-year-old.
“He was encouraged and encouraged by this defendant. He did not arrest him,” said prosecutor Omar Majid.
Then, on March 18, the victim went to Knight’s home in Moss Grove, but on the way, he was called by ‘Ace’ waiting in the apartment who again made similar discriminatory slurs and told him “p * * * * ‘and’ b **** b **.”
