The Sindh government will announce the separate examination schedule for the matric and intermediate board exams for the province in a few days.
Provincial Education Minister Saeed Ghani gave a press conference on Wednesday and said the examination schedule announced by the Federal Minister of Education and Training Shafqat Mahmood did not apply to Sindh.

He stressed that the government will ensure strict compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) during the exams and that the provincial government will adhere to the decisions of the Inter-Provincial Conference of Ministers of Education (IPEMC) to assess grades 9 and 10 based on its electives and Math while assessing grades 11 and 12 based on the electives only.
Earlier, Minister Mahmood had announced that the enrollment and mid-term exams would only be taken on an elective basis, adding: “If we don’t take the exams, the students won’t make even the slightest effort to study.”
