Sheikh Mohammed Launches AED 5.4 Billion Housing Initiative for Emirati Families

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, has announced plans to build more than 3,000 residential units in Dubai. Backed by an investment of AED 5.4 billion (approximately $1.47 billion), the initiative focuses on improving living standards for Emirati families, with a special emphasis on young couples.

The program is part of the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Program, which prioritizes family stability and community development. Housing allocations will give preference to those participating in the Dubai Weddings Initiative, a project encouraging Emirati youth to marry and establish their homes. These new housing units are designed to meet the specific needs of young couples starting their lives together.

“Our goal is to provide every Emirati family with dignified housing, creating a foundation for young people to build stable and successful futures,” Sheikh Mohammed shared. He reaffirmed his dedication, along with Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum, Hamdan bin Mohammed, and Maktoum bin Mohammed, to advancing the prosperity and well-being of UAE citizens.
