Scotland Scholarship 2023 For Pakistani Students
The British Council launched the Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for young women and girls.
These scholarships, generously funded by the Scottish Government, represent an innovative initiative to ensure women in Pakistan have access to quality education and enable them to reach their full potential and aspirations.
The primary objective of these scholarships is to encourage and facilitate the pursuit of higher education by women, thereby creating a more inclusive and diverse academic landscape.
By providing financial support, the program aims to break down the barriers that often prevent talented young women from accessing educational opportunities.
Advantages
The Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls provide financial support for BS/MS/MPhil programs available in all Higher Education Commission (HEC) accredited universities across Pakistan.
Scholarship recipient benefits include:
- Tuition coverage for specific courses in eligible areas
- Assistance with university housing costs (if applicable)
- Travel expenses from home to university and vice versa twice a year for students living in on-campus dormitories.

Eligibility
The Scotland Pakistan Scholarships are open to female applicants only.
To be eligible, applicants must be Pakistani citizens currently residing in the country. Applicants must also meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled in a four-year undergraduate program in specific fields.
- You must have a confirmed offer of admission from an HEC-accredited university in Pakistan
- When promoting diversity and inclusion, special attention is paid to young women with disabilities, women of rural origin, and minorities.
