SBP Announces Bank Holidays For Eid ul Fitr 2022
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Wednesday announced a four-day shutdown to mark Eid ul Fitr, according to a statement from the central bank.
As a result, all banks in the country will be closed from May 2 (Tuesday) to May 5 (Thursday), the central bank statement said.
Earlier on Tuesday, the government of Pakistan released the schedule for the Eid ul Fitr holiday, which will start on May 2, according to a statement to the effect.
The four-day holiday will begin on May 2 and last until May 5 (Thursday), the statement said after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s approval.
Astronomers have predicted that Shawwal’s moon will likely be visible on the night of May 2, after which Eid ul Fitr will fall on Tuesday, May 3 this year, Some reputed newspapers reported.

According to the publication, astronomers said the moon is expected to be born between April 30 and May 1 at the crossing point at 1:28 a.m. m. PST.
