SBP Announced Eid-ul-Adha Bank Holidays
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced public bank holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha 2022.
In a circular sent to the presidents and general directors of all banks, development finance institutions, and microfinance banks, the central bank announced that the SBP will be closed from July 8 to 12, 2022 (Friday to Tuesday) for a public holiday on the occasion of Eidul Adha.
Last week Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved a five-day Eid-ul-Adha holiday. The prime minister approved the Eid al-Adha holiday from July 8-12, according to a statement from the prime minister’s office.
It should be noted that Eid ul Adha 2022 in Pakistan is observed on July 10 (Sunday).

Meanwhile, the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) opposed the federal government’s decision on the five-day Eid ul Adha holiday on Wednesday.
In a statement, the FPCCI said the five-day Eid holiday was “not a good move”.
