Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has mentioned the requirements for issuing a final exit visa for foreign workers. A residency permit (Iqama) must have at least 30 days of validity left to proceed with the application.
Employers and heads of families need to renew the Iqama if it has less than 30 days remaining before applying for the visa.
For permits valid between 30 and 60 days, a final exit visa can still be issued, but its validity will only match the remaining time on the Iqama. If the permit is valid for 60 days or more, the exit visa will have a maximum duration of 60 days.

Jawazat clarified that employers and families can issue these visas through online platforms like “Absher,” “Absher Business,” and the “Muqeem” portal. The service is available at no cost and does not involve additional fees.
