When it became known that the killer was the son of the famous journalist Ayaz Amir, the case attracted attention. Many tweets said the deceased was Sarah Bibi, wife of Shahnawaz and daughter-in-law of Ayaz Amir, who died due to her husband’s skepticism.

What Was The Police Investigation Report?
On Friday, police filed a First Information Report (FIR) in response to Police Commissioner (SHO) Nawazish Ali Khan’s complaint under Section 302 of Pakistan’s Penal Code (which deals with murder conviction) (PPC).
The suspect’s mother, Samina Shah, reportedly called police on Friday, September 23 to report that her son Shahnawaz had killed his wife with a crowbar. This information has been incorporated into the FIR.
FIR says Shah informed police that his son was present and had covered his wife’s body. Police officers then searched the apartment.
According to the police report, Shahnawaz had locked himself in his room and when staff broke down the door they found bloodstains on his hands and clothes.
According to FIR, Shahnawaz admitted to repeatedly hitting his wife with a pole during an argument and then hiding the Canadian citizen’s body in the bathtub after police arrested Shahnawaz.
Shahnawaz told FIR that the “murder weapon” was hidden under his bed. Police reportedly discovered blood and hair on the cufflink after examining it. They later passed it on to forensics.
The FIR also said that the victim’s body was taken to the Polyclinic for an autopsy.
