Samsung Electronics Co. launched a new Jet Bot AI robot vacuum cleaner with upgraded solutions here on Tuesday 27th April 2021.
The BESPOKE JetBot AI vacuum is available in five colors at a price of 1.59 million won ($1,430).
First presented at the fully digital 2021 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the product is equipped with Intel’s Movidius AI solution and uses LiDAR and 3D sensors to avoid objects and clean hard-to-reach areas.
According to Samsung, the vacuum cleaner has active stereo camera sensors that can detect any object more than 1 centimeter in height at a distance of up to 1 meter.
The ultimate cleaner learned 1 million images through deep learning technology to improve its cleaning ability. The CUSTOM AI JetBot can also empty the trash can itself after it has returned to its charging station.
Users can configure cleaning zones via Samsung’s Internet of Things (IoT) platform, SmartThings, or simply control the product by voice.
The JetBot AI BESPOKE is also compatible with Samsung’s pet care service for SmartThings.
With their sensors, vacuum cleaners can alert people if their pets bark excessively or make unusual movements. You can also play music for pets.
Samsung also provides a lifetime warranty on the product’s inverter motor.
More Features
Samsung’s new robot cleaner supports voice commands. You can even ask it to perform minimal cleaning tasks with voice prompts such as “clean around the TV“.
The vacuum cleaner automatically detects the type of floor after detecting the area and cleaning accordingly.
A unique feature of the bespoke Jet Bot AI is that it can also act as a pet monitor. Samsung has partnered with Ajinyangi, a pet-focused company, and added 20 different songs that can be played randomly for your pets.
The vacuum cleaner detects abnormal signs or behaviors such as loud barking or prolonged inactivity and notifies the user.
Prices and availability
The Samsung Bespoke Jet Bot AI robotic vacuum cleaner is currently available for pre-order in Korea at a price of $1,433. There is no indication that this robotic vacuum cleaner will be available outside of South Korea.
