Samsung Galaxy A34 And A54 Released With A High Price And No Improvements
The much-anticipated mid-range pair from Samsung, which has been leaked extensively for weeks, has finally been officially announced. The Samsung Galaxy A34 and A54 are here and they are more expensive than ever.
Design And Display
Fascinatingly, the smaller of the two phones is the Galaxy A54, which sports a 6.4-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Vision Booster support.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy A34 has a larger 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display but the same 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Vision Booster improvements.
Both phones are dust and water-resistant to IP67.
Internal Components And Software
While the Galaxy A54 features the 5nm Exynos 1380 chipset, the Galaxy A34 features the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset. You can opt for a phone with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB expandable storage.
The software side is covered by Android 13 with One UI 5.1 on top.
Cameras
The Samsung Galaxy A54 has a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a fixed focus and f/2.2 aperture, and a dedicated 5-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. On the other hand, there is a 32MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.
In contrast, the Samsung Galaxy A34 is content with a 48MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP macro camera with f/2.2./2.4 aperture. The selfie camera on this one has a 13MP sensor.
These cameras can record 4K video at 30 FPS and 1080p clips at 60 FPS.
Battery And Price
The 5000mAh battery supports 25W fast charging on both phones.
You can buy the Galaxy A34 in Lime, Graphite, Violet, and Silver colors and the 6/128GB version costs €390. However, the 8/256GB model, which normally costs 460 euros, is currently on sale for only 409 euros.
The Galaxy A54, in turn, is available in Lime, Graphite, Violet, and White colors with prices starting from €490 for the 6/128GB model, while the 8/256GB version, which normally costs €540, is currently on sale for 490€. These phones will be available in the European and Asian markets starting this month.
