Remi Lucidi Died After Falling From The 68th Floor
A Frenchman famous for extreme sports has died after falling from the 68th floor of a residential building in Hong Kong.
According to the South China Morning Post, Remi Lucidi, 30, was climbing the Tregunter Tower complex when the man fell.
Lucidi, also known online as Remi Enigma was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Hong Kong authorities, Lucidi arrived at the building around 6 p.m. and informed the guard that he was meeting a friend on level 40.
After the alleged boyfriend confirmed he didn’t know Lucidi, a security guard tried to stop him, but the stuntman had already entered an elevator.
Security footage later showed Lucidi entering Level 49 and then climbing the steps to the roof of the building.
Those looking for Lucidi reported that the hatch to the roof was open, but he was nowhere to be found.
Authorities said the man was last seen alive at 7:38 p.m. when he hit the resort’s penthouse window, prompting a maid to call 911.
According to the unnamed source, authorities believe Lucidi was trapped outside the attic before the sad disaster, banging on the window for help.
According to a person familiar with the incident, investigators at the scene discovered Lucidi’s camera showing images of his past death-defying exploits.
The cause of death could not be determined by the police.
According to Gurjit Kaur, the owner of the inn where Lucidi is said to be staying, the guest was a “friendly and humble fellow”.
“He was healthy, fit, and happy,” Kaur told the outlet. “I feel very sad.”
A worker at the shelter claimed he spoke to Lucidi several times before his death and told him the man was in Hong Kong on vacation.
“He told me he was going hiking in the mountains when I asked him where he was going. He said he wants to hike a lot when he’s here,” the worker said.
Several Lucidi fans have taken to social media to express their own grief.
