Redmi is set to expand its lineup with the K80 Ultra, expected to launch later this year. A Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) reveals key details ahead of the official announcement.
The K80 Ultra may feature a flat OLED display with slim bezels, 1.5K resolution, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Its sturdy design includes a metal frame and IP68-rated water and dust resistance. Powered by the Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset, it’s also rumored to have a battery upgrade, surpassing the K70 Ultra’s 5000mAh capacity. A mid-2025 release seems likely.
Other brands like iQOO, Realme, and OnePlus are preparing competing devices with the same chipset, including the iQOO Neo 10S Pro and Realme Neo 7 Pro. Each model promises advancements in display, durability, and battery performance, signaling a competitive year for smartphones.
