From her childhood, she loves to sing songs and she considers Lata Mangeshkar as her teacher. Ranu Mondal has one daughter. After spending some years in Mumbai her husband died in some accident, then she decided to move towards his village again i.e. Ranaghat, West Bengal. It was considered the worst time in her life because she became financially poor.
Her daughter had left him for 10 years because she didn’t like her mother’s singing at the Bengal railway station.

Ranu Mondal used to sing Bollywood classic melodious songs at the Bengal railway station to entertain people. She earns a day completely from her singing. At her early 20 years of age, she decided to sing at some club by that time she was known by the name ‘Ranu Bobby‘.
She used to sing old classic songs on the railway platform. Once a day Ranu Mondal was singing “Ekk Pyar Ka Nagma Hai” song at a railway platform, a guy noticed her beautiful melodious voice, recorded and uploaded it on social media. on the same day, It went viral on Facebook, WhatsApp, and all the other platforms. Most of the people including Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, Himesh Reshammiya appreciated her voice.
When her Video went viral on social media, as a result, Sony Entertainment TV channel invited her to a Singing Show where she sang “Ek Pyar ka Nagma Hai” song.
Her singing impressed Himesh Reshammiya and he said that “Salman Khan’s father once told me that If you find some new talent anywhere, give him a chance”. He offered Ranu Mandal to sing the song “Teri Meri Kahani” for his new movie ”Happy Hardy and Heer”. Himesh Reshammiya gave 7 lacs to Ranu Mandal for her singing.
