Queen’s Floral Tributes Are Removed At The End Of The Royal Mourning Period
Weeks after the death of Britain’s oldest monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, it was reported that the floral tributes left in memory of Her Majesty would be removed on Monday.
The social media page of Royal Parks, the official charity that looks after London’s eight royal parks, broke the news that the tributes will be removed on the same day that the royal family’s official mourning period begins.
Sharing a heartwarming image of the amazing tributes, they captioned the post: “Starting today, Monday 26th September, our staff and volunteers will begin cleaning up the deteriorating floral tributes in Green Park and Hyde Park. If you are planning to visit us, find out more here.”
The flowers were left as a mark of respect for the late monarch. Hundreds of bouquets were laid out in the gardens in front of Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle.
The news comes a week after the Queen’s historic State Funeral on Monday 19th September.
Her Majesty was honored at a state funeral in Westminster Abbey.
