General Qamar Javed Bajwa Education
Bajwa was educated at FG Sir Syed College and Gordon College, Rawalpindi before joining the Pakistan Military Academy in 1978.
Bajwa completed his secondary and junior high education at FG Sir Syed College and Gordon College, Rawalpindi before joining the Pakistan Army in 1978 leading to the Military Academy. He was sent to the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul and lost consciousness in 1980.

After joining the Pakistan Army in 1978, Bajwa, who was enrolled at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul, passed out with the class of the 62nd PMA Long Course and was commissioned on 16th October 1980 as the 16th Second Lieutenant Baloch. After being promoted to a two-star rank in May 2009, Maj. Gen. Bajwa assumed command of Force Command Northern Areas Division, based in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, as GOC.
In August 2011 he received the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) and was assigned as an instructor at the Infantry and Tactics School in Quetta, then taught the General Staff course at the Command School and in Quetta and a course on National Security. at the National Defense University in Islamabad.
On 14th August 2013, Maj. Maj. Bajwa was promoted to the rank of three stars and appointed Field Commander of X Corps based in Rawalpindi. During his tenure as Field Commander of X Corps, he was commissioned as a Tier I officer.
The appointment drew media comment, which suggested Lt. General Bajwa had been assigned three times to X Corps, the army’s largest and most important corps with experience in keeping the situation in Kashmir under control.
In 2014, Lt. Gen. Bajwa was promoted to Commander-in-Chief of the Baloch Regiment.
On 22nd September 2015, Lt. General Bajwa was assigned to Headquarters when he was appointed Inspector General of Training and Evaluation (IGT&E). There he was staff officer to the Army Chief of Staff, General Raheel Sharif.
