Punjab SED Announced 200000 Chromebooks for Smart Labs in Schools

The School Education Department is introducing 200,000 Chromebooks in public schools to set up smart labs. Digital IDs will be provided to over 200,000 students, including out-of-school children, giving them access to online learning and internet safety tools.

In collaboration with “Jumni,” Chromebooks will support digital education, while 500,000 teachers will receive free Google certification to train others.

A partnership between Google for Education and the Punjab Education Foundation will integrate AI-based tools into classrooms, making learning more interactive.
