PSX to Remain Closed on Feb 8, Election Day
A notice dated February 2nd, 2024, informed all TRE Certificate Holders, staff, and concerned parties that the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will be closed on February 8, 2024. This closure is in observance of a public holiday declared by the Election Commission of Pakistan for the general election.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced a national holiday on February 8 in a statement issued last Thursday.

“In exercise of powers conferred under Article 218 of the Constitution, the Election Commission of Pakistan is pleased to declare a public holiday on February 8 in the country. This decision aims to enable voters to exercise their right of franchise freely and conveniently,” the statement read.
