Karachi Kings Lock in Vital Players for PSL 9 Campaign
The Karachi Kings have made decisions on retaining key players as they gear up for the forthcoming season 9 of the Pakistan Super League.
Sources indicate that top-order batsmen James Vince and Shoaib Malik, along with fast bowlers Hasan Ali, and Mir Hamza, and the unorthodox spinner Tabraiz Shamsi, are the chosen ones for retention. In a surprising move, Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir will not be part of the retained squad, and there are speculations about his potential move to the Quetta Gladiators, possibly filling the void left by the departure of Naseem Shah.

The PSL Season 9 draft ceremony is slated to take place on December 13, 2023, at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. Franchises have until December 7, just two days from now, to confirm up to eight retentions for each team.
