Private Schools in Sindh Directed to Stop Collecting Advance Fees

The Sindh Education Department has instructed private schools to stick to the approved timeline for fee collection and avoid demanding advance or extra payments. This directive came from Additional Director Rafia Javed.

Under the leadership of Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, the Directorate of Inspection and Private Institutions issued a circular outlining the updated fee collection process. According to the Steering Committee’s schedule, the academic year 2025-26 will begin on April 1, 2025, while matriculation exams are set to start on March 15, 2025.

To reduce the financial pressure on families, schools have been told to charge tuition fees for matriculation students only until April 2025. For those moving from pre-primary to Class IX and from Class IX to Class X, fees for June and July 2025 can be collected during April and May 2025, respectively.

The circular shows that fee vouchers must be issued separately for each month. June’s vouchers will remain valid until June 30, 2025, and July’s until July 31, 2025.
