Private Schools in Punjab Raise Fees, Defy Regulations

Private schools in Punjab have increased fees and introduced hefty annual charges, burdening parents with extra costs. Monthly fees have risen by Rs1,000 to Rs2,000, while annual charges of up to Rs20,000 have been imposed, violating government rules.

Following a Lahore High Court order, several schools now charge for transport services, demanding an additional Rs30,000 as a transport fund. Parents are frustrated as education authorities fail to curb these unauthorized hikes.
