Prince William had a career in mind that was linked to Princess Diana
The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, second in line to the British throne, had a different career in mind, linked to his late mother, Princess Diana.
According to the two royal experts, the future king had once expressed a desire to become a police officer.
The Express UK quoted from royal author Robert Jobson’s 2006 book William’s Princess that the future king once told his mother, Princess Diana, that he wanted to become a police officer to protect her.

The author said Diana “relyed heavily on Prince William” in times of need when William was a young child.
“Whenever Diana felt insecure, William was there for her,” added royal author Robert Jobson.
The report also quotes Diana’s autobiographer Andrew Morton, who wrote that Prince William and Harry once discussed their future with Diana, and the Duke of Cambridge said: “When I grow up I want to be a police officer and take care of you mom.”
