Prince William and Kate Middleton are extending their support for Camilla after a big announcement
Prince William and Kate Middleton have thrown their support behind Camilla after it was revealed she would one day take on the title of Queen consort.
For the uninitiated, the Queen revealed yesterday that she “desires very much” that the Duchess of Cornwall be given the title of Queen Consort when her son, Prince Charles, becomes king.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge retweeted the message from the royal family and reposted the news on their shared Instagram account.
Upon seeing this, royal observers commented on how Prince William appeared to have “accepted” Camilla with the move, as she previously dated Prince Charles when he was still married to the Duke’s late mother, Princess Diana.
One user wrote: “Camilla deserves it. She’s a huge supporter of Charles and a team player in the royal family, unlike me again!”

“Prince William could easily have harbored a grudge, but he accepted Camilla and the public should too.”

Another user named Royalimposters added, “If Prince William, son of Princess Diana, can get over this and accept Camilla, then the public should too!”
But a third user questioned her decision not to comment on the matter, writing: “Why isn’t Prince William saying anything about making Camilla, queen?”
They added: “Prince William should rebel.”
