Prince Shabazz Shot Dead: Watch Footage
Disturbing new footage obtained by The Post shows the gruesome moment a Bronx gunman fatally shot a 14-year-old boy, belching smoke from the gun’s barrel.
Around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday in Fordham Heights, the gunman, with a blue bag over his shoulder, is seen hiding behind a car outside of 2249 Morris Avenue before jumping out and opening fire on 14-year-old Prince Shabazz and his family’s 15-year-old brother opened.
Prince, dressed in a white shirt, abruptly disappears from the scene as his brother steps forward. The barrel of the gun emits smoke.
According to law enforcement sources, the shot that killed Shabazz was a targeted attack that may have been connected to a punch-rap argument. His brother was not injured.
After the murder, the gunmen can be seen running in front of the camera in surveillance footage from a nearby store while donning hoodies and masks.
The shooter chases the teens as they spin and try to run away from the block while shooting erratically.
“My son was smart, charismatic, popular and all he cared about was looking good,” said the heartbroken mother of the teen.
“He cared about looks, he cared about girls, he cared about clothes and looks,” she added. “Everyone who met him will love him.”
