Prince Harry Wins The Hearts Of Americans With His Latest Speech
Prince Harry announced that he had sent an email to the CEO of Twitter warning that the microblogging site was being used to stage political unrest in the US capital.
During an online panel on misinformation in California, he said: “Jack and I sent emails before 6th January warning him that his platform allowed publication. Instead of a hit,” Harry said, quoted by the Associated Press. RE: WIRED technical forum.
“That email was sent the day before, then it happened and I haven’t heard from him since.”
Social media sites have been criticized for not doing enough to stop the spread of disinformation and hate speech. The storming of the United States Capitol by Donald Trump supporters is just one example. In general, big technologies are accused of putting growth and profits before public safety.
Harry has also accused other social media sites like Facebook of misleading “billions of people” with misinformation about COVID and climate change. He also took aim at YouTube, saying that many videos spreading misinformation about COVID have been omitted despite violating the website’s own guidelines.

“Worse, they reached users through the recommendation tool within YouTube’s own algorithm for what the user was really looking for,” he said. “It really shows that it can be stopped, but they didn’t want to stop either because it affects their results.”
Hundreds of American Twitter users praised the Duke of Sussex for his concern about the situation in the American capital.
