Prince Harry is heartbroken over a tragic personal loss in Ukraine
Prince Harry on Friday acknowledged the loss of a member of the Invictus Games due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
The moving statement was shared by Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle’s Archewell organization and addressed the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, which continues to wreak havoc and claim more lives.
The official statement said: “Finally, our hearts are heavy as we acknowledge the recent loss of a member of our veterans’ community in Ukraine who has been defending his country from attack.”
“We also recognize the brave men and women of our global community of veterans past and present who have long protected their countries and their families with unparalleled strength and determination,” he continued.

Harry and Meghan also reassured through their message that they “continue to work and speak to the Invictus Games Foundation daily to help in any way we can.”
The death of former Ukrainian finalist Serhii Karaivan was confirmed on Thursday in a statement shared on the Invictus Games Twitter page.
