On Tuesday, 24NewsHD TV shared that government and private institutions—including medical and dental colleges and universities—now require students to maintain a 90% attendance ratio and earn at least a 70% score in exams.
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced a new set of rules that are now in effect. This means MBBS and BDS programs will face tougher academic standards.

The new guidelines raise the attendance bar from 74% to 90% and bump up the passing score from 50% to 70% for students in these courses.
These changes signal a stricter academic environment in medical education as the upcoming session begins.
